Silver Wind Loft is located on the east side of Madison, in Blooming Grove. Our rock doves are immaculate in appearance, healthy, and loved as pets.  They are also known as white homing pigeons, just like the ones used for racing . Many hours, (and miles) have been spent in training in order to keep the birds in top shape, and to get them to know the Dane County area.

**Our doves are trained to migrate home within a 30 mile radius of their loft. This includes the towns of  Cottage Grove, Deerfield, Marshall, McFarland, Sun Prairie, Verona, Middleton, Waunakee, Stoughton and Deforest.

**The doves can be released only during daylight hours as they have poor night vision and cannot navigate home in the dark.

** We do not do releases between November and March due to weather and hawks.
